There are as many as 300 roman buildings and churches in the Saône-et-Loire. You will discover the delightful town of Cluny with the vestiges of the imortant Abbey of Cluny with all its history. Also Paray Le Monial and the 'Circuit of the small Roman churches' all real gems. Anzy le Duc, Montceau l'étoile, Semur en Brionnais, are examples of those not to be missed.

At 2Km, the 18th century castle of Digoine, with on one side the 'English garden' and hugh park and on the other side a formal 'French Garden' and a small Italian theatre. You can take the 'Circuit of the Southern Bourgogne Castles' with 17 castle to visit, all very interesting and open to public.

In Palinges, the museum of Popular Arts and Traditions should be visited and the guides are very knowledgable and will make your visit extremly interesting.
There are also museums in the nearby towns of Paray Monial, Charolle, Montceau les Mines, all of interest.
